RUSHBROOK PRIMARY ACADEMY
SEN Mentor (part time) required as soon as possible – this is a temporary post (in the first instance) until 31st August 2018.
30 hours per week (5 days) – Term time plus 5 days
Salary: NJC Grade 4 points 17 – 21 Actual salary £13,029 p.a. point 17
Bright Futures Educational Trust wishes to appoint a Temporary SEN Mentor to work 1:1, with small groups, running interventions, and working in class across the year groups in an interesting and exciting opportunity at Rushbrook Primary Academy – a member of the Bright Futures family of schools. This is an opportunity to be part of a unique and new trust that is committed to improving life chances for children through an enhanced education offer.
You must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. You must understand emotional intelligence, the learning process and the importance of therapeutic intervention in helping to educate the whole child.
Both the school and the Trust are committed to educating the whole child and in developing the child to fulfil their potential. The Trust opened The Connell Sixth Form College in September 2013 which completes its “cradle to career” education offer for Gorton children and young people. BFET provides outstanding training and CPD opportunities for all staff.
Rushbrook Primary Academy is led with the Montessori philosophy of ‘follow the child’. You will need to be hard working, honest, keen to develop yourself and committed to educating the whole child. You should be a team player and understand the importance of working together to improve the life chances of all pupils.
