Cedar Mount Academy celebrates GCSE success

Students are reaping the rewards of their hard work at Cedar Mount Academy as they celebrate excellent GCSE exam results. The academy, which joined Bright Futures Educational Trust in 2012, has had some outstanding performances this year:

Habeeb Adeyemi 8 A*-C grades

  • Habeeb joined Cedar Mount Academy less than two years ago, speaking English as anIMG_9933 additional language
  • In his first year at the academy he averaged a D grade in his exams
  • He has put in a huge amount of hard work at the academy over the last two years which has paid off today, achieving eight GCSEs at A*-C grade

Daniel Draper, 8 A*-C grades

  • Daniel was averaging a D grade in Year 10
  • Following some hard work from both Daniel and Cedar Mount teachers, Daniel has achieved an outstanding eight GCSEs at A*-C grade, with 6A/A* grades

Huyan Tran 10 A*-B grades

  • Huyan joined the Academy in Year 9 with average results
  • Due to her hard work and commitment and with the support of teachers within the academy, today she has surpassed all of her challenging targets achieving 10 A*-B grades

Principal Sam Sweeney commented: “Our students have worked so hard for their exams, and I’m delighted that their efforts has paid off. I also want to thank our fantastic staff for their dedication, going above and beyond to give all our pupils every chance to succeed.”
