A true celebration of collaboration

Lisa FathersLisa Fathers, Director of Development, Partnerships & Teaching School Hubs at Bright Futures Educational Trust, has won the inaugural School Collaboration Award at the Nexus Education Awards 2021.

The ‘School Collaboration Award’ seeks to recognise a leader bringing schools together to enable collaboration within education, with peers asked to nominate their worthy winners.

Lisa said of her award: “I was equally shocked and delighted to learn that I was even shortlisted for this award but to win it has almost left me speechless which, for those of you who know me, is a rarity! Collaboration just makes sense to me, in everything that I do, and although it was never my intention to be recognised in this way, I can’t tell you what it means to have my peers nominate me in this category.

“What an absolute honour, I’m so flattered and fully intend to continue to strive for successful collaboration across all aspects of our work. As we move into the new Teaching School Hub landscape collaborative working will continue to be absolutely critical. This award might be in my name but as any leader knows it always takes a team effort and I’m very grateful to be part of so many wonderful teams at Bright Futures and beyond. A huge thank you to Nexus Education and well done to all of those shortlisted too.”
