The Alliance for Learning Teaching School is a partnership of primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and organisations from across the North- West, who share their knowledge, skills, expertise and experience to improve outcomes for children and create opportunities for staff.
As a forward thinking, dynamic network we lead the way in providing high quality, meaningful professional development for teachers, innovative approaches to school to school support, ground-breaking research and development and cutting-edge initial teacher training through our SCITT offering early years, primary and secondary teacher training.
The Alliance for Learning SCITT delivers school-based, early years, primary and secondary, initial teacher training across our 61 schools, colleges and universities. Led by Altrincham Grammar School for Girls (an outstanding school), our courses lead to the award of Post Graduate Early Teachers Teacher Status (EYTS), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), accredited by the University of Manchester.
We also have a Maths Hub as part of our remit. NW1 Maths Hub, is one of 4 local and 35 national Maths Hubs who form part of the Maths Hub Programme, a programme funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) to improve the quality of mathematical teaching and learning for our children.
We are always looking to grow our Alliance schools and welcome those who share our commitment to constantly improve outcomes for children and young people.
