The Alliance for Learning Teaching School was established in 2011 and adds a further dimension to the work of the Trust. As a forward-thinking, dynamic network, we lead the way in ground-breaking research and development, innovative approaches to school to school support, cutting-edge initial teacher training and meaningful professional development.

As a diverse network of schools, sixth form colleges and universities, our collective aim is to improve educational outcomes for young people across the North West, by improving the quality of teaching, learning and leadership. The partnership is founded and run on sound principles and collective responsibility is at the heart of the network.

Our SCITT offers high quality training and aims to overcome any recruitment issues, whilst our wide range of professional development opportunities delivered by nationally recognised organisations such as Future Leaders, Prince’s Teaching Institute and the National Centre for Excellence in Mathematics (NCETM), aim to improve the quality of teaching and learning, improve wellbeing and support leadership development.

We have a plethora of Specialist Leaders of Education who are available for deployment to support with specific aspects of school improvement and our specialist Maths and Science networks add further dimension to our offer for schools.

We are always looking to grow our Alliance schools and welcome those who share our commitment to constantly improve outcomes for children and young people.
