Outstanding GCSE Results for Altrincham Grammar School for Girls

The students of Altrincham Grammar School for Girls have done it again!  Last week we were proud to publish our remarkable A level results; today we can reveal that our GCSE students have also been outstandingly successful.

An astonishing 98% of examinations taken were graded from A*-B,   85% were graded A*-A  and  51% were graded A*.

100% of students gained the national ‘gold standard’ of at least 5 subjects at A*-C, including English and Mathematics, and 100% of pupils who took the English Baccalaureate were successful.

There were many individual causes for celebration, including  11 girls who  passed at least 9 subjects at A*:  Sunya, Holly, Jessica, Amy, Helen, Sanjana, Miranda, Sophie, Victoria, Eleanor, Yulia.

Mary Speakman, Headteacher of Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, said: “We are so proud of our students; they have worked really hard and thoroughly deserve these wonderful results which position us as one of the highest performing schools in the country.  The staff and governors send their warmest congratulations to the girls.”
