Bright Futures students celebrate fantastic exam results

Students from schools across the Bright Futures Educational Trust have been celebrating their fantastic exam results this summer.

Following on from Gorton Mount Primary Academy and Stanley Grove Primary Academy’s SATs success earlier this year, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls and Cedar Mount Academy have also seen outstanding exam results.

19 A Level students at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls took up places at Oxbridge universities, the highest number to date. 93.7% of girls achieved at least a B in their A Level exams, and a remarkable 57 students achieved A* or A in all their subjects.

Following this fantastic success, GCSE results across the Trust were also outstanding. Cedar Mount Academy saw their best-ever English results to date, and Altrincham Grammar School for Girls maintained their 100% success rate – an astonishing 98% of examinations taken were graded from A*-B and over half were graded A*.

Dame Dana Ross-Wawrzynski, DBE, CEO of the Bright Futures Educational Trust, commented: “I congratulate the students and the staff across the Trust, whose commitment to quality education is ensuring that these young people have real choices open to them as they move on to further and higher education and employment.

“I am delighted to see such achievement in our schools and look forward to seeing the hard work of staff and students continue into the next academic year.”
