After completing a LLB Hons Law degree at UCLAN in 2006, I started working at South Shore Academy as a Support Assistant within the SEN Department. I then started a new role as Learning Mentor in 2008 and began to study Therapeutic Counselling in 2009.
I gained my Diploma and became a Qualified Therapeutic Counsellor in 2013 specialising in Bereavement and Self-Harm. I was then able to take up the role as the school counsellor at South Shore Academy in 2014.
In May 2016 I took on a new role as Deputy SENco. I have recently started to work towards becoming a Qualified Teacher through the Straight to Teach programme and look forward to beginning my National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination next year.
