Maree is an Assistant Principal at Melland High School, a specialist support school that meets the diverse special educational needs of a wide range of pupils. In the previous 3 Ofsted inspections Melland High school has been judged to be outstanding in all areas.
Maree’s particular areas of strength and expertise – SEND and inclusion
Maree is a lead teacher for outreach at the academy which leads on SEND within BFET and across all Central and East Manchester high schools.
Maree is a designated SLE for The Alliance for Learning. She has a deep commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND in specialist and mainstream settings. She has highly effective relationship and interpersonal skills, enabling her to work in true partnership with colleagues both within her own school and in partner schools. Maree has led SEND Diagnostic Reviews which aim to build the capacity of colleagues across a wide range of sectors to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
