Starting her career in Specialist provision as a TA3 and head of transition, Laura decided that she would dedicate her future to closing the gap for SEND students. Following a degree in English and Education, Laura has taught in specialist behaviour settings, outstanding high schools and schools in areas of deprivation in both Salford and Manchester.
Laura completed her NASENCo in 2012 and worked as an assistant SENCo throughout her training.
Laura took on the role of SENCo for Cedar Mount Academy in January2016 and is striving to support the development of an inclusive culture within Bright Futures, and Cedar Mount.
Laura is particularly interested in social and emotional aspects of learning. She is keen to promote the successful development of quality first teaching in the classroom and is working alongside other SENCos within the trust to support this.
